The Faculty have organised a Forum Webinar which will be presented to you by ZOOM on Wednesday 28th June 2023 at 4.00 p.m. until 5.30 p.m.

Steve Campbell (Director of the Faculty) will be delivering on the following:

• Arbitration and the Party Wall Surveyor

1. What can party wall surveyors learn from Arbitrators and how could the Arbitration Act improve the Party Wall Act. In this presentation steve will look at the similarities and differences between the Arbitration Act 1996 and the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
2. He will examine and explain how Arbitration has, and continues to influence the Party Wall Act and how it could further improve our Statute,
3. Steve will look at the role of an Arbitrator v the role of a Party wall surveyor and discuss unconscious bias, the Rules of Natural justice and look at some case law arising from both practices.

Steve is a well known and highly respected practising Party Wall Surveyor and Third Surveyor. His reputation for robust, pragmatic, and no nonsense dispute management and resolution is well earned. He regularly presents the Faculty’s two day training seminar, the third surveyor seminar and is the Director for Training and Education as well as the Vice President. He is a qualified and experienced Construction Adjudicator and Arbitrator, he sits on numerous panels across a number of industries including construction, engineering, and travel. He is a Chartered Construction Manager and Contract Administrator.

1.5 Hours CPD

CPD certificates will be issued after the event. Please be aware that if you do not join within the first 30 minutes, you will not receive a cpd certificate. We cannot be responsible for anyone that does not attend the zoom meeting and please note that we will not provide video recordings of events that are missed.
