25/06/2026
16:30 - 18:00
Vicky Dewey-Bruce on behalf of the Faculty has organised a Forum Webinar which will be presented to you by ZOOM on Thursday 25th June 2026 at 4.30 p.m. until 6.00 p.m.
Nicholas Isaac KC will be delivering the following:
- Beyond the Award: Jurisdiction, Impartiality & Power under The Party Wall etc. Act 1996
This forum will explore the practical and legal boundaries of the Surveyor’s role under the Act, focusing on how jurisdiction is established, where authority begins and ends, and the importance of maintaining impartiality throughout proceedings. The session will examine common areas of dispute, evolving case law, ethical responsibilities, and the challenges surveyors face when balancing statutory powers with professional independence. Through discussion and real-world examples, attendees will gain insight into best practice, risk management, and the wider implications of decision-making beyond the award itself.
