• Access requirements / restrictions and the role of Surveyors

As Party Wall surveyors we are often faced with complex issues over access for which the Act does not allow us to deal with. In times such as these it is a good idea to recommend access licenses are drawn up and agreed between the affected parties so as to ensure a mutual understanding of the obligations and requirements of each party in each given scenario.

Surveyors play an important role in agreeing practicalities in such documents but they are also legally binding and therefore may sometimes be better placed to be drawn up with solicitors or barristers. This webinar has been put together to give a good background to the typical uses of access licenses, what they should include, any restrictions and the role of surveyors in such scenarios.

This promises to be an insightful talk which will enable us in making better decisions going forward in terms of agreeing any access requirements for work particularly where the Act does not directly allow. It may also be helpful in terms of recognising specific factors for access in cases where the Act can be applied.

1.5 Hours CPD

CPD certificates will be issued after the event. Please be aware that if you do not join within the first 30 minutes, you will not receive a cpd certificate. We cannot be responsible for anyone that does not attend the zoom meeting and please note that we will not provide video recordings of events that are missed.
