Party Wall etc. Act 1996 Refresher Course

Already familiar with the Party Wall etc. Act 1996?

Our Party Wall Refresher Course is designed for professionals who have previously undertaken Party Wall training and want to revisit the key principles, refresh their knowledge and build confidence in applying the Act in practice.  It is not a replacement of the full two-day Party Wall Course.

Over the course of the day, we revisit the areas that matter most in day-to-day Party Wall work, explore common issues and pitfalls, and provide an opportunity to discuss practical scenarios and questions arising from your own experience.

Ideal for: Building surveyors, architects, engineers, construction professionals and others who regularly deal with Party Wall matters.

The Refresher will cover:

• Interpretation – Section 20
• Notifiable Works – Sections 1,2 & 6
• Notices
• Resolution of Disputes (Engine of the Act) – Section 10
• Access – Section 8 & 16
• Compensation – Section 7
• Expenses and Accounts – Section 11, 13 & 14
• Recovery and Exceptions – Section 17 – 19
• A practical, focused refresher — designed for people who already know the basics and want to stay on top of their Party Wall work.

The cost to attend this course is £330 for members and £400 for non-members.

7 Hours CPD.

If you do not receive this within one week of the event please call the Faculty administration office. Hard copies of the documentation will also be sent in the post a week prior to the event.

1) Once payment has been made the delegate accepts these terms and conditions.
2) The Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors (FPWS) reserves the right to cancel up to 48 hours prior to the date of the course and will offer either a full refund or an alternative event and/or dates.
3) Delegates will be entitled to a refund of 50% if cancellations are received in writing up to 14 days prior to the course date.
4) Delegates will not be entitled to any refund if (a) they cancel within 14 days; or (b) they fail to arrive on the day.
5) FPWS will not guarantee a place unless payment is made in full at the time of booking.
6) This booking is not transferable for any reason unless expressly agreed in writing with FPWS.
