The Faculty have organised a training webinar on Wednesday 26th May 2021 at 4.30 p.m. until 6.00 p.m.

Professional Standards have organised a Training Webinar which will be presented to you by ZOOM. Whilst not mandatory to attend, we would urge all members to sign up to this short, useful, informative webinar, which is an aid to compliance with our Code of Conduct and an ideal opportunity to enhance your knowledge and satisfy your CPD requirements.

This webinar will be delivered by a video conferencing programme called ZOOM which means that you will need to have the following available in order to access this seminar:

  • Laptop or Computer
  • Webcam & Microphone

Lisa Clarke from Tanfield Chambers, Barrister, will be delivering the subject on:

A Whistlestop Tour of Complaints: The hot potato: No-one wants them but everyone gets them! Here is how to avoid them (you can’t, but you can minimise the chance you’ll receive one!) and what to do when you receive one.

Lisa Clarke is a barrister practising at Staple Inn Chambers specialising in landlord and tenant, residential property and civil litigation. She also sits part time as a Judge and is a member of the Bar Council’s Direct Access Panel. She has over 12 years’ experience handling complaints as Chambers’ Senior Complaints Officer. In 2019/2020 she assisted the Faculty in overhauling the Faculty’s complaints and disciplinary process and was responsible for drafting much of their guidance on this process. Since 2019 she has acted as a complaints’ investigator and/or Chair of Disciplinary Panels for the Faculty. She is the mother of 2 teenage girls and in her spare time enjoys spending time with friends and family, climbing, cycling, walking, reading and science lectures.

1.5 CPD hours available.

CPD certificates will be issued after the event. Please be aware that if you do not join within the first 30 minutes, you will not receive a cpd certificate.
