Nick Isaac QC, will be delivering the subject on:
- Mediation and Arbitration in Party Wall Matters
Although resolution of dispute by award is the most common way for party wall disputes to be resolved, there are often occasions – ironically where the dispute between building owner and adjoining owner is a real and/or serious dispute – when it can be in the owners’ interests for disputes to be resolved in other ways. This webinar explores what mediation and/or arbitration can offer building and adjoining owners, and party wall surveyors, how such alternative dispute resolution processes can and should be initiated and pursued, and what you can expect from them.
Nick Isaac QC is a specialist property barrister who has been involved in many of the leading party wall cases over the last decade or more, and is deputy head of Tanfield Chambers. He is the author of “The Law and Practice of Party Walls” and “Where is my boundary” and co-author of “The New Party Wall Casebook”, and is currently writing a rights of light casebook. Alongside his barrister’s practice and writing, Nick also lectures regularly on party walls, boundaries and easements.
