In collaboration with Nick Isaac QC, the Faculty have organised a series of webinars throughout 2021. This is an ideal opportunity to enhance your knowledge and satisfy your CPD requirements. This webinar is on Monday 26th July 2021 at 5.00 p.m. until 6.15 p.m. 

This webinar will be delivered by a video conferencing programme called ZOOM which means that you will need to have the following available in order to access this seminar:

Access Issues

Coronavirus has brought access issues very much into the spotlight. In this webinar we will cover access from the basics to the most problematic grey areas, including:

  • Section 8 – scope and limitations
  • Schedules of condition
  • Access during the works (scaffolding, workmen, surveyors)
  • Providing for access within the substantive award
  • Access to determine scope of damage
  • Enforcing rights of access – police and courts
  • Alternatives when access impossible (Coronavirus and beyond)

Nick Isaac QC is a specialist property barrister who has been involved in many of the leading party wall cases over the last decade or more, and is deputy head of Tanfield Chambers. He is the author of “The Law and Practice of Party Walls” and “Where is my boundary” and co-author of “The New Party Wall Casebook”, and is currently writing a rights of light casebook. Alongside his barrister’s practice and writing, Nick also lectures regularly on party walls, boundaries and easements.

CPD certificates will be issued after the event. Please be aware that if you do not join within the first 30 minutes, you will not receive a cpd certificate. We cannot be responsible for anyone that does not attend the zoom meeting and please note that we will not provide video recordings of events that are missed.
