PARTY WALL AGREEMENTS AND THE FACULTY OF PARTY SURVEYORS TRAINING SEMINAR

“Party wall agreement” is not an expression included in the Party Wall etc Act 1996 (‘the Act’) but is often used by the members of the public when seeking advice from surveyors. This would suggest that the property owners are looking for some form of agreement and/or resolution of a dispute where one of them is proposing to carry out building work to an existing party structure, or otherwise on or near to the boundary with the adjoining property. If an agreement cannot be reached between the property owners regarding such work then party wall surveyors are appointed to resolve the dispute.
Dispute resolution requires knowledge of the Act, building construction, case law, and the ability to work with other surveyors and communicate effectively with the property owners. The Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors offers a training course for those unfamiliar with the relevant building construction. Armed with construction knowledge, the Faculty’s two day Seminar provides beginners and practicing surveyors with a vital step towards starting or enhancing their career in a rewarding surveying discipline.
The Seminar is structured and presented by subject experts in a professional and friendly manner. Notes are provided to all attendees, questions and interaction are encouraged to add value to the learning environment. The Faculty was “born from a need for Support and Education” and this founding principle continues throughout your career via forums, podcasts, e-bulletins, articles, and newsletters. Apply now for the two day seminar and be ready for the next call requesting a party wall agreement.
We run this seminar on a regular basis at face to face physical seminars at London locations.
